SocietyWorks is the wholly owned subsidiary of mySociety, the registered charity behind some of the UK’s most well-loved, open-source civic technology, including services like FixMyStreet, WriteToThem and WhatDoTheyKnow.

Formed to extend the impact of mySociety, SocietyWorks provides digital products and consultancy for local government and the public sector. It’s SocietyWorks’ mission to help local authorities and other public sector organisations better serve citizens through effective and intuitive digital solutions.

We work collaboratively with our clients, observing very best practise by undertaking service discovery and consequence scanning to ensure accessibility and equitability.

Our suite of products includes: FixMyStreet Pro, a map-based street and highway fault reporting service;

WasteWorks, our front end domestic, bulky and green waste service, built in collaboration with Bromley Council; FOIWorks, co-designed with Hackney Council to streamline Freedom of Information requests; and ApplyWorks, a user-friendly way to manage applications and payments for a variety of service areas.
